Few zombie weapons are as recognizable as Rick Grimes’ revolver. It may not be the most effective weapon, but it makes a grand statement and is an extension of the character’s personality.

Will you have a personal statement in the apocalypse? Maybe you’ll want a sword, as Michonne, quiet and deadly carries. The silent but practical crossbow may be to your liking. Or perhaps you just want a nailed baseball bat. Whatever the case, it can be a great morale boost to carry your trusty or storied weapon or tool at your side.

The fine and knowledgeable folks at Lucky Gunner have put together a detailed look at Rick’s revolver, weighing in its advantages and disadvantages, history, and personality.

The Colt Python's capabilities

If you’re a fan of the series, want to up your own character with more than an ounce of intimidation, the rare and powerful Colt Python might be your choice. It may not be the most effective or practical weapon, but neither is an armored Humvee the best means of transit.

I would rather use my 1022 archangel AR15 six 50rnd drums 10 bx25 mags 40k rounds in storage for soft zombie targets and use a silencer or dampener. If ammo is a problem then I have several compound bows that can make a wonderful quiet mess of the undead much faster than a cross bow. I know how to make arrows and bows out of easily salvaged materials that can be 50 to 70 pound rating. Also electromagnetic rail gun would be easy to make as well and can shoot round metal objects very easily. Another cool hack is a 150 psi compressor gun that could shoot anything out like a cannon. Broken glass .rocks.steel pieces.nails.anything readily available. I have made those. I have real katana swords and samurai my grand father took home in world war 2 and those are very sharp it’s like having an over sized straight razor. I like simple thinks like digging a punch pit full of sharp metal or wood and put a solar powered speaker and mp3 player with people making noises to bring the dead to the pit or even a cliff to make them die from a permanent automatic death that could lure the stupid constantly. Or even better capture them and use them in modified treadmill or hamster wheels to generate electricity for an electrified fense system and lights and other things one might want. Even put a few out there with bullet proof body armour on them with mounted AI based fully automatic weapons turret with color code recognition or face recognition or something to defend from the dead and also people you do not know and they could wander around the area kicking ass . The world ever has a real pandemic it would be awesome because finally everyone would be free again and would be the masters of thier own destiny. How many people you think can invent useful things that could help in survival of an apocalyptic dead universe?
