The Last Stand 2 from Con-Artists

Theres a lot of resource management and searching for survivors, weapons, traps and supplies. The searching is a crapshoot, but the difference in towns, zombies and weapon styles is very nice. Stay away from the shotguns, especially the sawed-off, they take far too long to load and you will be overrun quickly. Equip them to a survivor. Go with the MP5 if you find one, and have your chainsaw as a backup (also a good practice in real life).

    whats the glitch for the compund bow? i don’t use it much- not much damage when you’re trying to fight back hordes of zeds and are shootiing them as fast as you can

    i hope you do not mind me doing a list of all the guns (that i got) and a snippet about them for the last stand 2

    i write it to let people know what kind of guns they’ll be getting, and how effective they are

    please let this go through your infection filter

    Pistol- looks like a glock, or p7..
    – worthless, basically- give it to the first survivor you find. It does very little damage, and is in no way a good weapon. the only pros are its 17 round mag, and a good rate of fire (rof)

    17 rounds

    .357 magnum
    -a decent gun, but not the best probably the second handgun you’ll get. It does moderate damage, but seems to have a small punch, taking zombies out in maybe 2-3 hits. its 6 round mag doesn’t help, but thankfully the reloading times are relatively fast, meaning you can resume shooting rather quickly

    Chainsaw
    RMMM RMMM! (bad chainsaw sound effect)
    this is my favorite backup weapon, and was my main weapon for a good amount of time. it does huge amounts of damage, and will rip zombies apart in a matter of moments. aim for the head, they’ll soon be dead. just watch out for the reloading times- they’re longer than in the first one.

    ammo, I’m guessing about 30, probably more

    UMP 45
    this is a decent sub machine gun that will serve you well. it has low damage, but the ROF makes up for that.

    Uzi- i really found no difference between this and the UMP. anybody notice any? i think the ump had 5 less rounds…

    Shotgun. a trusty (probably 12 gauge) shotgun, this has a high damage per shot, making it useful for tougher zeds. unfortunately, the reloading is slow as heck, meaning while you’re reloading, you’re getting 1 step closer to death. have a good backup weapon if you must use this.

    can’t remember if i got the sawed off shotgun…

    Compound bow

    not too effective when you’re under pressure. i can’t tell if you get more damage by holding it back longer, but i think that’s so. if you have the time to pull it back all the way, it’s fine- being a one shot kill usually, if in the head. but when the going’s tough, and you’re firing the arrows as fast as you can, the damage is greatly lowered, making it bad for heavy opposition

    UGGH!! this gun really sucks
    it is less effective than the smgs, and has a hideously low damage. it really has no pros- assign it to a survivor, it’ll be more useful that way
    case in hand- i tried a level with this and died, then did it over with a hunting rifle and beat it.

    Hunting rifle

    This is a great gun, don’t pass up on it
    its rate of fire is like a bolt action- it only holds one shot. it has a high damage, and the rate of fire is fast enough so that you can keep going even when the crowd is thick

    Hand grenades

    really not effective- the guy takes a huge amount of time to take one out and pull the pin and throw it, and trying to get it where you want it to go is a pain in the a*s

    RPG
    the best gun, no doubt- it has a big blast radius, and huge damage, and it reloads really fast, making it the best gun to kill zeds with. yoou can fire it point blank with no ill effects, either

    FN MINIMI (spelling?)

    the lmg of this game, the fn minimi combines good damage with a huge box mag. the only con is a longer reloading time, but it’s totally worth it. a good back up weapon, along with the rpg as a main

    You equip the chain as main and bow as second and right as the screen turns black before the mission you hit space and you have 50 in the bow and can shoot real fast.

    but,i have a question,what is that exclusion zone????
    i never got there,but i went staight to union city and finished the game………
    this is trully an AWESOME game,helps a lot for surviving the zombie apocalypse

    Wanna know whats really scary? Wal-Mart on Black Friday. Only the zombies there are very much real.

    PS:Great game..I wish something like this would be available on XBOX Live. I’d play it.

    Heres a trick I learnered that can make a battle alot easier when you have the uzi and the shotgun set your uzi as your main and the shotgun as your off hand then as the screen is going black hit the space bar. This give you a shotgun with 50 ammo this will alow you to take down almost half the zombies and switch to the uzi. This trick saved me several times hope it helps you

    Well its the whole zombies carrying weapons thing and the running part. theres only steroid zombies (that can punch through a wall like in 28 weeks later) and the regular zombies that don’t seem to be of any trouble except when theres competition for food (like when they swarm then they’re joggers)

    I mean really! running with weapons and seem to know that if something is in their way they tear it down, the only goal is to get food not cause collateral damage and only kill!

    What is with the aim on the chainsaw?
    I don´t know how many times I´ve died because the aim on the chainsaw doesn´t recognize zombies as a legitimate target (at ill chosen moments), it´s annoying as hell.
    (Note; It doesn´t happen ALL the time, just often enough to be really annoying.)

    Maybe it´s supposed to reflect the wild flailing and screaming from the character, although one would think that being up close and personal, it would be easy to hit with…

    Anyway, apart from that little twig-in-the-arse, I do really like the game. A lot!

    Little something odd, after downloading the game when I try to play it in a flash player, like eolsoft or geovid, the crosshairs disappear when the missions start. Suggestions on how to fix this?

    i got a tip for ya all zombie killing people out there shoot the zombies and dogs in either their gash cuts or in the head kills them within two to one shots

    Cool game. Very fun, however, its very aggravating when your survivors die no matter what gun you give them. then you’re pretty screwed if you’re later in the game I’d definately recomend a glich. you can do it with any one shot only gun. here’s how to do the fifty round glitch. you can use the bow or the hunting rifle. the bow is found in the second map make sure you go up after the first place it puts you on. the hunting rifle is on the farm. equip it as your second weapon and right as the screen goes black after you hit accept before a level hit the space bar. you have fifty ammo and shoot really fast. have a good weapon as your first. it will automatically start you with you secondary. Be careful. don’t switch weapons until you have to reload but make sure to switch before you’re overrun because you have to load you first weapon before use.
